For a couple of weeks I have been having issues either connecting or staying connected to my WiFi. The other day it just couldn't find the WiFi at all. It kept saying something about Realtek Ethernet not working. I looked on forums which suggested deleting the broken driver from device manager. I did and now have no connectivity issue, however since doing that? The laptop freezes or is very slow, also the busy circle on the cursor stays circling.. How do I fix that and get my laptop working normal again?

I tried a system restore yesterday and it was still freezing and lagging. Not sure what else to do. Am I going to have to restore to factory settings? I can try the restore again, but not sure what else to do. I am semi computer illiterate.

Well not sure what happened but I got a notification to update my Java. I did that and now my laptop seems back to normal! Yay! Thank you for your help.

@DavidSMP I thought I had it fixed but now it is still acting up. It now has trouble connecting to my wifi. The router and modem are fine. It keeps telling me that the ethernet network isn't working and gives me a (102) My laptop isn't that old. Unfortunately the warranty just ran out on March 19 of this year. I really like my laptop and just want to get it online again. Please, I hope you can help.

@The_Fossette      I followed the steps and I did get back on to the wifi. It did lose connectivity, but  reconnected after a few seconds. I have also read and had it suggested to me that maybe a USB network adapter may work too. Is that a possibility and could you reccomend a good one? I appreciate all your help you have given me. I hope restoring the settings using the BIOS worked.

Perfect, I am really glad to hear that the issue is fixed.

You can purchase any USB network adapter and I am sure it should work fine with your computer.

Hello again. I bought a Belkin N300 came home installed it, when I checked on device manager it has a yellow caution symbol.  When I click on properties it tells me Windows cannot load, the file may be corrupted and gives a code 39.

How can I get it to recognize the adapter and work properly? Do/should I uninstall the realtek family controller or disable it? The disc that came with the adapter says for windows Xp,Vista,7 and 8. My laptop came with 8 I upgraded to Windows 10.Should I go back to Windows 8. I will do anything at this point.
