Hi @44miri,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet Plus 4100 printer's WiFi button is blinking a blue light, it typically indicates that the printer is not connected to a wireless network. Here's what you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check WiFi Connection: Make sure your WiFi network is operational and that other devices can connect to it without any issues.
- Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
- Check Router: Ensure that your router is functioning properly and that it's not experiencing any connectivity issues. You may want to restart your router as well.
- Reconnect to WiFi: On the printer's control panel, navigate to the WiFi settings. Select your WiFi network from the list and enter the password if prompted. Make sure you are entering the correct WiFi credentials.
- Move Closer to Router: If your printer is too far away from the router, it may have trouble maintaining a stable connection. Try moving the printer closer to the router and see if that helps.
- Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes updating the firmware can resolve connectivity issues and improve performance.
- Reset Network Settings: As a last resort, you can reset the network settings on your printer to default and then try reconnecting to WiFi.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
