I am having problems trying to change the password on my TalkTalk router. TalkTalk suggest connecting my laptop direct via ethernet from the router. However my ethernet cable connection is too large to fit into the laptop port. There is no hinged port on my model to allow cable connection. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

@blinkybob, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Unfortunately, your unit does not support a direct Ethernet connection, as it lacks the appropriate port. In this case, I recommend contacting TalkTalk support directly and asking them to assist with resetting and reconfiguring your router remotely. They should be able to help you update the password and make any necessary changes without needing a wired connection.

Many thanks Garp_senchau. I managed to sort this yesterday by connecting an ethernet cable from my old computer (which does have an ethernet port) direct to the router and was able to change the password successfully. I had previously contacted TalkTalk technical support team on their chatline and they gave me a cribsheet to change the password which was helpful when it came top resetting our devices.
