@Gibsterny, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP Spectre x360 (14-ea0023dx) connects to your home network but not to other Wi-Fi networks, the issue could be related to Wi-Fi configuration, network compatibility, or even security/authentication settings on those networks.
Confirm the Basics
Is the other Wi-Fi network functional? Test it with another device (phone or another laptop).
Are you entering the correct password?
Is the Wi-Fi network open or secured (WPA2/WPA3)? Some older networks or enterprise networks may cause issues.
Restart Devices
Restart your HP Spectre x360.
Restart the Wi-Fi router of the network you're trying to connect to (if possible).
Try again.
Forget & Reconnect to Network
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage Known Networks.
Click the network that’s causing issues and select “Forget”.
Try reconnecting by selecting it again from the Wi-Fi list and re-entering the password.
Update Network Drivers
Right-click Start > Device Manager.
Expand Network Adapters.
Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter (likely "Intel Wireless" or similar) > Update driver.
Choose Search automatically for drivers.
Alternatively, visit the HP Drivers Website and search for your model (14-ea0023dx) to manually download the latest network drivers.
Reset Network Settings
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced Network Settings > Network Reset.
Click “Reset now”.
Your PC will restart. Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network after reboot.
Disable MAC Address Randomization
Some networks block randomized MAC addresses.
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage Known Networks.
Select the network.
Toggle “Use random hardware addresses” to Off.
Use Network Troubleshooter
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
Run the Internet Connections troubleshooter.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
