My laptop is not showing my mobiles hotspot name , I am not able to connect with my mobile hotspot to this laptop , kindly help m eto resilve this isuue asap

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with connecting your HP Notebook - 15 laptop to your mobile hotspot. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to resolve this problem.

 

Check Mobile Hotspot Settings

Verify Hotspot is Enabled:

  • Make sure your mobile hotspot is turned on.
  • Ensure that other devices can see and connect to your mobile hotspot.

Network Visibility:

  • Ensure that your hotspot is set to be visible to other devices.

Update Wireless Network Drivers on Your Laptop

Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Network adapters section.
  • Right-click on your wireless adapter and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the prompts.

HP Support Assistant:

  • Open HP Support Assistant (search for it in the Windows search bar).
  • Check for updates and install any network driver updates available.

Network Troubleshooter

  1. Windows Troubleshooter:
    • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
    • Click on Network troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

Reset Network Settings

  1. Network Reset:
    • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
    • Scroll down and click on Network reset.
    • Follow the instructions and restart your laptop.

Verify Hotspot Compatibility

  1. Frequency Bands:
    • Ensure that your mobile hotspot is broadcasting on a frequency band supported by your laptop (2.4 GHz and/or 5 GHz).

Manually Add Network

  1. Manually Add Hotspot:
    • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
    • Click on Manage known networks.
    • Click on Add a new network and enter your hotspot name (SSID) and security key (password).

Disable Power Management for Network Adapter

  1. Device Manager:
    • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
    • Expand the Network adapters section.
    • Right-click on your wireless adapter and select Properties.
    • Go to the Power Management tab.
    • Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

Restart Devices

  1. Restart Both Devices:
    • Restart your mobile device and your laptop.

Check for Interference

  1. Interference:
    • Ensure there are no devices or obstructions causing interference between your mobile hotspot and your laptop.
