I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with connecting your HP Notebook - 15 laptop to your mobile hotspot. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to resolve this problem.
Check Mobile Hotspot Settings
Verify Hotspot is Enabled:
- Make sure your mobile hotspot is turned on.
- Ensure that other devices can see and connect to your mobile hotspot.
Network Visibility:
- Ensure that your hotspot is set to be visible to other devices.
Update Wireless Network Drivers on Your Laptop
Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Network adapters section.
- Right-click on your wireless adapter and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the prompts.
HP Support Assistant:
- Open HP Support Assistant (search for it in the Windows search bar).
- Check for updates and install any network driver updates available.
Network Troubleshooter
- Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
- Click on Network troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.
Reset Network Settings
- Network Reset:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
- Scroll down and click on Network reset.

Manually Add Network
- Manually Add Hotspot:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
- Click on Manage known networks.
- Click on Add a new network and enter your hotspot name (SSID) and security key (password).
Disable Power Management for Network Adapter
- Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Network adapters section.
- Right-click on your wireless adapter and select Properties.
- Go to the Power Management tab.
- Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
Restart Devices
- Restart Both Devices:
- Restart your mobile device and your laptop.
Check for Interference
- Interference:
- Ensure there are no devices or obstructions causing interference between your mobile hotspot and your laptop.
