my hp hppavilion notebook is not identifing my jio broadband router when connected on wifi, if connected on lan it identifies and works.

Hi

 

Compare the settings for both with the command...

ipconfig -all

Then look at the IP addresses allocated, the subnet mask, DNS and DHCP, some of which maybe Automatic.

Then try some commands.

netsh wlan show interfaces
netsh wlan show drivers
netsh wlan show profiles

One result could be like this...

 

C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh wlan show profiles

Profiles on interface WiFi:

Group policy profiles (read only)
---------------------------------
    <None>

User profiles
-------------
    All User Profile     : WhiffyOne

 

Then you can use the name you get in this command (netsh wlan show profile name=WhiffyOne key=clear)...

 

netsh wlan show profile name= ??????  key=clear
