Hi @Saksham53,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand that you are having issues with the wifi.
If your HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-dk0049tx laptop shows a warning sign on the wireless adapter in Device Manager, and the Wi-Fi icon is missing, there could be a driver or hardware issue. Here are the steps to resolve this problem:
1. Check Device Manager for Error Codes:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters and look for your wireless adapter (e.g., Realtek, Intel, Qualcomm).
- If there is a warning sign (yellow triangle), right-click on it and select Properties.
- Check the Device status box for any error codes (e.g., Code 10, Code 43).
2. Uninstall and Reinstall the Wireless Driver:
- In Device Manager, right-click on the wireless adapter and select Uninstall device.
- Check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device," if available.
- Click Uninstall and then restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
- If Windows does not automatically reinstall the driver, download the latest driver from the HP Support website by entering your laptop model.
3. Update the Wireless Driver:
- Download the latest wireless adapter driver from the HP Support website or the manufacturer's website (e.g., Intel, Realtek).
- Install the downloaded driver and restart your laptop.
4. Reset Network Settings:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
- Click on Network reset and follow the prompts.
- Restart your laptop to see if this resolves the issue.
5. Check BIOS Settings:
- Restart your laptop and press the appropriate key (usually F10 or Esc) to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup.
- Look for any settings related to the wireless network or Wi-Fi and ensure it is enabled.
- Save changes and exit the BIOS.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

Hi @Saksham53,
Please find the remaining steps below.
6. Update BIOS/UEFI:
- Visit the HP Support website and search for your laptop model.
- Check for a BIOS update and download/install it if available.
- Follow the instructions on the website to update the BIOS safely.
7. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics:
- Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly to access the Startup Menu.
- Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Run a Wireless Module Test to check for any hardware issues with the wireless adapter.
8. Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
9. Use a USB Wi-Fi Adapter (Temporary Solution):
If the issue persists and you need immediate access to Wi-Fi, you can use an external USB Wi-Fi adapter until the internal issue is resolved.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, there might be a hardware failure with the wireless adapter. In that case, consider contacting HP phone support or a service center for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
