HP Pavilion dv6-6163cl Entertainment Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I'm at my wit's end! I'm having a frustrating experience with my HP Pavilion DV6-6163CL Entertainment Notebook PC, which has been retired by HP. I'm running Windows 10 64-bit, and I desperately need to update my drivers to use my laptop efficiently. However, HP's website has made it incredibly difficult to download drivers for retired products. I've tried searching for the drivers, but it's like they've vanished into thin air!

Specifically, I need drivers for my WiFi adapter, as I can't connect to the internet without them. I've tried using the built-in Windows driver update tool, but it doesn't recognize my laptop's hardware. I've also tried searching for alternative drivers, but none seem to work.

Can someone please help me figure out how to download the necessary drivers for my laptop? I'd greatly appreciate any guidance or support to get my laptop up and running smoothly again. Here are the drivers I need:

- WiFi driver
- Ethernet driver
- Graphics driver
- Audio driver

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi:

No dv6 notebook was supported for W10 by HP, and no W10 drivers exist.

W10 should have automatically installed the onboard Intel graphics driver.

Your notebook has an Intel Wi-Fi adapter that is not supported for W10.

You will have to use a USB Wi-Fi adapter if you can't get the Wi-Fi to work.

Replacing the Intel Wi-Fi card with a different model is not an option due to the BIOS whitelist which blocks the installation of any other model Wi-Fi card from working.

Ethernet:  You should be able to use the W10 ethernet driver directly from the Realtek website.

Realtek

Audio:  Try the W10 IDT audio driver from a newer model HP notebook that has driver support for W10:

IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver

6.10.6492.0

As a last resort try the W7 drivers from your notebook's support page:
