I have a compaq Presario v6444us laptop which recently crashed. I reinstalled winxp3 pro and am missing many drivers. I dld the five drivers you have listed on your site for my unit even though they say Vista 32bit. I tried to run them but they said they couldn't find the component I was able to load the drivers for the touchpad, winflash and audio (found on anothr site) Howevr, I have no wireless and am still missing a lot of drivers. In searching the net I found a forum with a topic that is exactly my problem (except I got audio) He lists individual links to your site for specific drivers but the links r invalid. there is even a screenshot of the device manager which mirrors mine (sans audio). The link is as follows:

I would really appreciate your assistance in obtaining these drivers. I am unable to get online from that unit and am borrowing another to solve this problem
thank you in advance for any and all help

OK;
Try a newer Broadcom driver than the one from the V6000 support page if it is the wireless you are referring to that connects but you can't connect to the internet.
This package contains the Broadcom Wireless LAN Drivers that are required to
enable the integrated Broadcom Wirelss LAN Adapter in supported notebook models
that are running a supported operating system.

Hi:
You can use the XP drivers from the V6000t on your model...

Only Windows Vista is available for Drivers on your PC.
You may try these drivers but they may not work on windows XP

Hi:
According to the parts list for your notebook, you need the Broadcom wireless driver.
You need to first install the driver under chipset and restart the PC.
Then the Intel graphics driver.
Then you install both drivers under the audio section.
First the MSUAA driver and restart the PC, then the Conexant audio driver and restart the PC.
The base system device needs the card reader driver (under storage).

All you have to do once you get the wireless driver installed (copy to a usb flash drive) is to download, double click and run each file.
The base system devices need the Ricoh card reader driver.
Modem needs the modem driver.

You're very welcome.
If the audio and touchpad work with the vista driver, then no need to install the XP drivers.
Post the hardware ID's for the ethernet controller and unknown devices.
There is no ethernet controller driver on either your model's support page or the V6000 support page.
To find the hardware ID, click on the device in the device manager.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the device window.
Post the string of characters you see in the window. Will usually start with PCI\VEN or ACPI something or other.
Then I will post the links to the drivers you need for those devices.
