Hi @anniebme,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that your Bluetooth keyboard stopped working and that Microsoft Support advised you to reinstall the Bluetooth driver.

We can certainly help, but first please provide the complete HP computer model and product number so we can identify the correct HP Bluetooth driver for your system.

You can usually find this information by pressing Fn + Esc, or on the product label on the computer.

In the meantime, please check Device Manager:

  1. Right-click Start and select Device Manager.
  2. Look for Bluetooth.
  3. Let us know whether the Bluetooth category is present.
  4. If present, please tell us the name of the Bluetooth adapter and whether it shows a yellow warning symbol or an error code.

HP recommends checking Device Manager first when troubleshooting Bluetooth connectivity.

Please do not download a Bluetooth driver from a third-party website. Once you provide the HP model/product number, we can direct you to the appropriate driver from the official HP Software and Driver Downloads page.

Please reply with the requested information, and we can take it from there.

Take care and have a good day!

I'm an HP Employee.
