Hi I am not able to connect my bluetooth headset to laptop. My bluetooth device is not appearing when I am trying to add the device. Kindly suggest required modifications to be done in the laptop to connect and use my bluetooth headset device.

For your reference I am sharing the list of adapters running as per device manager. Kindly suggest what are all required and not required from the following. If required I am ready to install extra adapters also.

1. Microsoft Virtual wifi miniport adapter #5

2. Ralink RT3290 802.11 bgn wi-fi adapter

3. Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller

4. TAP-Windows adapter v9

5. VMware virtual Ethernet adapter for VMnet1

6. VMware virtual Ethernet adapter for VMnet8.

Regards,

Srikanth

Hi:

The driver you need is not listed on your notebook's support page from what I can tell.

You need this Bluetooth driver for W7...

This package contains the driver installation package for the MediaTek/Ralink Bluetooth in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

Hi:

What version of Windows operating system are you running?

Did you install the applicable Bluetooth driver for the Ralink wifi adapter?

Hi, I downloaded the driver and installed. Now I am able to connect to my bluetooth headset device but audio is not coming in bluetooth headset. when bluetooth is not connected audio should come in laptop speaker and when bluetooth is connected audio should not come in laptop speaker and should come in bluetooth headset. Now the problem is when bluetooth is connected audio is not coming either in laptop speaker or in bluetooth headset. and hence what is the use of connecting bluetooth headset device. Please suggest further.

Hi:

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with that.

That is the latest W7 Bluetooth driver and since the Bluetooth is connected now, then the driver worked.

Please start a new topic on that issue.
