password for an HP "Direct-A8-DeskJet 2600 series" printer

When trying to connect my Ipad to a network it asks for a password for a "Direct-A8-HP DeskJet 2600 Series". Is this a password from HP ?   I have tried to use passwords from my internet service provider and a password used to connect to Hp Connect,but nothing is working. Can any one help?

That is the password for WiFi Direct- printing directly to the printer from a device not connected to the netwok the printer is on.

I assume you are trying to get your iPad connected to your wireless router for internet access.

I have bought a HP Deskjet 2600 and am trying to set it up wireless it is not being recognised it should be easy but it’s driving me mad,it’s not connecting to my WiFi then it asks for a password for Direct-11-HP Deskjet 2600 where do I find this number please

Sorry unable to help, I ended up calling HP support for help and I still don’t know how we got it done.

I could not connect my IPad to the DeskJet2652 printer. I ended up calling HP and they helped me connect.
