Poor internet connection... Noticed that I do not have a wifi adapter in device manager only PCle Adapter?!? Any suggestions to improve my connection?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

  • Step 1: Detecting and removing spyware and adware
  • Step 2: Scanning for and removing viruses
  • Step 3: Blocking browser pop-ups
  • Step 4: Clearing browser history, removing temporary Internet files, and resetting browser settings
  • Step 5: Updating network drivers
  • Step 6: Disabling software that opens with Windows
  • Step 7: Contacting your Internet Service Provider
  • Step 8: Disabling or modifying how programs access the Internet
