Hi

I have a HP Pavilion g4-2308tx Notebook PC with Windows 8.1 (64 bit) installed.

The fix on https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers worked for me.

But not the updated one.

Anyway, it's working fine.

Thank you very much !!

Hi. Even though the "Programs" in Control Panel shows "Ralink as installed, the Device Manager does not show Bluetooth.

Also, in PC Settings, Add Device does not locate Ralink Bluetooth.

In Wireless, the option to Turn On Bluetooth is grey and I cannot change it.

I use Win 8.1.

Kindly guide and oblige.

JSIndia. Sorry youre having a problem. On my PC, a HP ENVY20 running windows 8.1 64bit. My device manager was showing "Ralink rt3290 Bluetooth Adapter 01" as not installed. So i came here to the forum and seen a post with these links in it :

Download and Install the driver from:

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

and the updated version:

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

I only downloaded THE UPDATED version, and everything seems to be working fine now. A bluetooth icon appeared in my System Tray (near the clock on the taskbar) that was never there before. And in my Device Manager a few different bluetooth adapters and drivers appeared. If i was you, i would un-install the bluetooth driver/software that is installed now and also in Device Manager i would remove/uninstall any bluetooth adapters that you see. Reboot the machine and try the above drivers. Like i said,,,,it worked perfect for me. Took all of 5 minutes. Its an 80MB or so file that downloads fast for me using DOWNLOAD ACCELERATOR PLUS. I have sub-par DSL Internet as of now with too many people and their devices connected to it at the same time so that program actually helps a lot with downloads, but thats another story,,lol,,,good luck and of if u have any other issues come on back and theres lots of us that will try to help.
