Product: HP Stream 11-y010wm
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode

I just bought a renewed hp stream 11 off amazon. I’m trying to connect to the WiFi or internet, but it says I need a driver installed or a network adapter. I don’t know if there’s anything I could do or should I just send the computer back. Please help!

Hi:

 

The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with an Intel 7265 AC wifi adapter.

Below are the links to the wifi and bluetooth drivers for that model adapter.

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp99001-99500/sp99225.exe

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp96501-97000/sp96559.exe 

 

If those drivers don't get the Intel wifi adapter to show up, send it back for a refund as there is a hardware issue with the wifi adapter.

Download the file from another PC. 

 

Copy it to a USB flash drive.

 

Plug the flash drive into your Stream notebook, and run the files from the flash drive.
