replacement wifi adapter

The wifi adapter for my Pavilion laptop is dying. It does not appear the original Realtek adapter is available any longer. What would a good substitute be?

Thanks for the information. I tried all the fixes and still have problems. The diagnostic says I am connected, but I am not. 

I will try replacing the wifi adapter.
