HP Pavilion dv6-6b10er
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good afternoon. I have a problem replacing the network adapter in my HP Pavilion dv6-6b10er laptop. My Broadcom 802.11 n Network Adapter PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_1483103C&REV_01
stopped working. Instead, I bought Intel (R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz PCI \ VEN_8086&DEV_2723&SUBSYS_00888086&REV_1A\4&2A5276E2&0&00E3 but the laptop does not boot with it. I ask for help to register a new adapter in the BIOS for my laptop F. 1C Rev.A sp60717.exe

Your machine was built around 2011 due to the whitelist, no way you can install wifi adapter other the one on a list. Many newer machines can't use Intel (R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz. Please use the following list

For all machines:

  • Atheros 9485GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and 3012 Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter part # 655795-001
  • Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1+EDR Combo Adapter (Bluetooth 3.0+HS ready) part # 600370-001
  • Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and 20702 Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter part # 657325-001
  • Ralink 5390GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi Adapter part # 630703-001
  • Realtek RTL8191SE 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi Adapter part # 640926-001

For use only with computer models equipped with an AMD processor:

  • Atheros AR8002WB-1NGB 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR Combo Adapter (BT3.0+HS ready) part # 593127-001

For use only with computer models equipped with an Intel processor:

  • Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi Adapter part # 593836-001
  • Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN module part # 631956-001
  • Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 WLAN module part # 593530-001

On my other 2013 laptop, the whitelist is disabled and this network adapter can be used without problems. But on this laptop, the BIOS has a whitelist enabled and therefore can't turn on. How can I disable the whitelist in the BIOS on my laptop?
