My ELITEBOOK 840 G6 (TOUCH) cannot detect sim card

Hi:

 

All Elitebook 840 G6's have SIM card slots.

 

What 90% of them don't have is the optional and expensive WWAN adapter that connects to the cellular service.

 

All the SIM card does is to authorize you to use a certain carrier's network.

 

In order for the SIM card to work, your notebook must have one of the following WWAN adapters listed under the Network Adapters device manager category in the device manager.

 

Intel XMM 7262 LTE

Intel XMM 7360 LTE

Intel XMM 7560 LTE
