i have the 6465b laptop and it has wifi issues. even though it shows that it is connected to the wifi i have to disconnect it and reconnect it multiple times during use. i tried to swap the module out with one from the 6460b laptop but then after a few days the 6465b failed to boot up. it took a while to figure that one out. and i have a thread about this here.
anyway, can someone help me figure out what wifi module fits my 6465b laptop? the one i have in it is the sps# 593836-001 i did a 6465b wifi module search on ebay and got different numbers. (HP ProBook 6465b WIREless Wi-Fi Module Card 582564-001 @MB43)) from ebay so i'm asking here to see if someone can confirm either my wifi module is correct or the ebay numbers are correct? i may not have the correct wifi module and that might be why i have to turn it off and back on all the time.
thanks

Hi:
Chapter 3 of the service manual indicates the part number is 593836-001.
Since the notebook has a BIOS whitelist which prevents the installation of any Wi-Fi card not listed in the service manual from working, the safest way to buy a Wi-Fi card on eBay is to make sure you buy one where the seller shows the actual part number on the white HP part # label.
This was the cheapest one I could find on eBay using that criterion.

Note that the problem may not be with the Wi-Fi card, but with Windows 10, as there are no W10 drivers for it and several folks have reported problems with that model Wi-Fi card and W10.

thanks that is the same one i found also. it might be the one i have in that pc now is just barely useable for that pc.
kind of strange that model has the issue and the 6460b and the 6470b does not being they are just one up and one lower in models? maybe i should just get another 6470b and that may then not have the issue.
thanks.

You're very welcome.
FWIW, this is the latest driver HP has for that model Wi-Fi adapter and it is for W8.1.
