we recently purchased the HP DeskJet 4252e wireless all in one color copier/printer/scanner.
we have had trouble getting it to work with just connecting as wireless and wish to connect it with ethernet cable.
we purchased just the regular ethernet cable (same plug on both sides) and it does not fit.
can you provide us with the type or model of the correct ethernet cable to use

Hi @Paynes,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like the issue might be related to the type of Ethernet cable and port your HP DeskJet 4252e printer uses.
Most printers that support Ethernet connections use an RJ45 Ethernet port, which is a standard port for network cables. The cable you need is a standard Ethernet cable, often referred to as a Cat5e or Cat6 cable. These cables have an RJ45 connector on both ends.
If your printer does not have an Ethernet port, it's possible it only supports wireless connections, in which case you would need to use a wireless setup. Ensure to check your printer's specifications or manual for more details on supported connectivity options.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
