Hi @Viddy59
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thanks for explaining that—it's helpful to know that other devices on the same modem can access the site, which suggests the issue is isolated to your Chrome OS device.
Let’s walk through a few targeted steps to get things working again. 💪
🛠️ Fixes for Chrome OS Not Signing Into a Website
✅ 1. Clear Site-Specific Cookies and Cache
- Open Chrome and go to the site you're having trouble with.
- Click the lock icon in the address bar → Site settings.
- Click Clear data and reload the page.
✅ 2. Try Incognito Mode
- Press Ctrl + Shift + N to open a new incognito window.
- Visit the site and try signing in—this bypasses cached data and extensions.
✅ 3. Disable Extensions Temporarily
- Go to chrome://extensions/.
- Toggle off all extensions and try signing in again.
- If it works, re-enable extensions one by one to find the culprit.
✅ 4. Check Date and Time Settings
- Go to Settings → Date and Time.
- Make sure your Chromebook is set to automatic time zone.
- Incorrect time can cause login failures on secure sites.
✅ 5. Update Chrome OS
- Go to Settings → About Chrome OS → Check for updates.
- Install any available updates and restart your device.
✅ 6. Reset Network Settings
- Forget your Wi-Fi network and reconnect:
- Settings → Network → Wi-Fi → [Your Network] → Forget
- Reconnect and re-enter your password.
