Pavilion Entertainment dv6810TX
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Due to my purchase and expiration of Warranty in Vietnam, I can not obtain any assistance from HP.   It will show what type of HP I have but, unable to assist; "does not support".  The HP center in DaNang has refered me to Phil Long for assistance...previously....

I've had this HP for about 9 or 10 years now.  I up graded to win 10, removed it due to many problems.  Removed my 500 gb and purchased a 1 terabit.  Even replaced the mother board and screen.  I will never use win10 and re-loaded and remain using win7.  All has been working well prior to this lose.  I went through all the files and only have 'Bluetooth transfer' file...which does nothing and shows nothing.  Nothing in Device Manager pertaining to Bluetooth.  I've tried Restore to an earlier date,  'driver took kit', 'Reimage repair'...nothing seems to help.  I have No Bluetooth devices, no Bluetooth Peripheral devices listed in Device Manager.

Does anyone know where I can download supported material for Pavilion Entertainment dv6xxx using Windows 7 32 bit

Hi @AntA,

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I understand you are having issues with the bluetooth not working. Don't worry I'll be glad to help you with this.

After reading your post, I did go through the Product Specifications and found that your PC was shipped with Windows Vista and there are only drivers available for Vista. There are no drivers available for Windows 7. This could be one of the reason why you are having issues locating the drivers for the bluetooth.

If you wish to continue with Windows 7, since the drivers are no longer available on HP website, you would need to rely on generic drivers.

As this is a pretty old computer, unfortunately there will be no recovery media available for your PC. So the best option would be to upgrade your PC to a new one.

I hope this information helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than glad to help you.

Jeet...Thanks...You are the only one who has actually given me the reason for why HP hasn't been of any help over the years.  My keyboard has a bad 'a' key and I have ordered a new one which I will have replaced on Wednesday.  At that time I'm told that one of the tech's will supply me all the Bluetooth material needed for my HP laptop.

This laptop has been through a lot over the years...almost all new inside...it is a real 'workhorse' for me and I don't just want to to send it to the junk yard.  When it works...it does just what it is intended to do.  I don't play games or surf the net with the HP...it is and has been a 'tool' and I try to keep it up to speed.

Thank you for your comment and guess I can't really get upset with HP...but I am.  Should support all their 'tools'...

Jeet...bought a bluetooth usb...The shop has no idea why I had and why it just disappeared.  Using the USB and it works good enough.  Able to transfer files from the 'working' HP to the ASUS via this due to a busted pin at my one and only connection for a USB connection.  Much slower, but it works just the same.

Just wanted you to know how things ended up...Thanks again for your assist.
