Hi @KL791

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

That’s definitely frustrating—especially when everything else seems to be working fine. If your HP laptop isn’t showing any Wi-Fi connections at all, it could be due to a few common culprits.

Let’s walk through a complete checklist to help you get reconnected. 📶💻

Check WiFi Status:

  • Ensure that your laptop’s WiFi is turned on. Some laptops have a physical switch or function keys (like Fn + a key with a WiFi icon) to enable or disable WiFi.

Verify Airplane Mode:

  • Make sure Airplane mode is turned off. You can check this by clicking on the Network icon in the taskbar.

Restart Your Laptop and Router:

  • Sometimes, simply restarting your devices can resolve connectivity issues.

Update Network Drivers:

  • Outdated or corrupt drivers can prevent your WiFi from functioning properly.
  • Search for and open Device Manager in Windows.
  • Expand Network adapters and right-click on your WiFi adapter (often named something like Realtek, Intel, Broadcom).
  • Select Update driver and choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Check WiFi Adapter in Device Manager:

  • Ensure the WiFi adapter is enabled: In Device Manager, right-click your WiFi adapter and select Enable if it is not already enabled.

Network Troubleshooter:

  • Run the built-in Windows Network Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Internet Connections > Run the troubleshooter.

Reset Network Settings:

  • In Windows 11, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset. This will reinstall network adapters and reset network settings.

Firewall and Antivirus Settings:

  • Ensure that your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking your WiFi connection.

Check Router Settings:

  • Make sure your router is broadcasting the SSID and check if other devices can connect to the WiFi. If possible, access the router settings through a connected device to ensure WiFi is enabled.

Driver Rollback:

  • If the issue started after a recent update, you might consider rolling back the WiFi driver in Device Manager to a previous version.
