Hi @123_pp,

As I understand you are having issues with the Wi-Fi icon missing on the taskbar of your HP notebook. Don't worry we'll work together to find a solution for you.

  1. Right click the Windows button (Start Menu), and select Properties
  2. In the Properties dialog box, click the Notification Area tab.
  3. In the Systems Icons area, ensure that the Network checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Apply, then Ok.

I would recommend using an Ethernet cable (Wired) and update your Wi-Fi drivers using this Link.

* Update the bios by visiting this link or through support assistant using an Ethernet cable.

* Now try to connect to the internet wireless.
