@MonkeyPc, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Device Manager

Press Win + X > select Device Manager.

Expand Network Adapters.

Look for something like Intel Wireless-AC, Realtek, MediaTek, or Wi-Fi.

If you see a Wi-Fi adapter:

Right-click > choose Enable (if it’s disabled).

If already enabled, try uninstalling the device and then Scan for hardware changes.

Check BIOS Settings

Sometimes the Wi-Fi module can be disabled at the BIOS level.

Restart the laptop and press Esc or F10 (usually during boot) to enter BIOS.

Look for settings under Advanced > Built-in Device Options or System Configuration.

Ensure Wireless LAN is enabled.

HP Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)

Run the built-in hardware check to confirm if your Wi-Fi card is faulty:

Shut down the laptop.

Power it on and immediately press Esc, then F2 to enter HP Diagnostics.

Go to Component Tests > Network > Wireless Module Test.

Run the test and check for failure.

Check Windows Network Settings

Press Win + I > go to Network & Internet > Status.

Click Change adapter options.

Is the Wi-Fi adapter listed? If not, Windows isn’t detecting the hardware.
