If your Wi-Fi stopped working and the program is missing from your HP Notebook - 15-f272wm, here are some detailed troubleshooting steps to help you restore connectivity:

1. Check Airplane Mode

  • Press Fn + F12 (or just F12) to toggle Airplane Mode.
  • Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled in Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.

2. Restart Your Laptop

  • Shut down your laptop completely.
  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then turn on the laptop.

3. Run Windows Network Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Click Additional Troubleshooters > Internet Connections > Run the troubleshooter.

4. Check Device Manager for Missing Wi-Fi Adapter

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Network Adapters.
  • If your Wi-Fi adapter is missing:
    • Click Action > Scan for hardware changes.
    • If still missing, proceed to reinstall the driver.

5. Reinstall Wi-Fi Driver

  • Download the correct Wi-Fi driver for your laptop from the HP Support website.
  • Install the driver and restart your laptop.

6. Reset Network Settings

  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  • Run the following commands one by one:
    netsh winsock reset
    netsh int ip reset
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    ipconfig /flushdns
  • Restart your laptop.

7. Update Windows

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click Check for updates and install any pending updates.

8. Perform a BIOS Reset

  • Turn off your laptop.
  • Press F10 repeatedly while turning it on to enter BIOS Setup.
  • Press F9 to load default settings, then F10 to save and exit.
