@Monarch420, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding WiFi Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check WiFi Switch or Button: Ensure that the WiFi button on your HP laptop (if there is one) is turned on.

Enable WiFi through BIOS: Sometimes, the WiFi can be disabled from the BIOS settings. Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing F10 or F2 during startup). Check if there's an option related to wireless networking and make sure it's enabled.

Device Manager Check:

  • Go to Device Manager (you can search for it in the start menu).
  • Expand the Network adapters section and see if your WiFi adapter is listed.
  • If it's not visible, check for any unknown devices or devices with a yellow triangle, which could indicate a driver issue.

Update or Reinstall Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and manually search for the correct drivers using your laptop's model number.
  • Download and install the latest drivers for your WiFi adapter.

Run Network Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  • Click on Network Troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows is updated to the latest version as sometimes this can fix hardware issues that arise from OS updates.

Windows Network Reset:

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  • Scroll down and click on Network reset.
  • Follow the instructions and restart your laptop.

BIOS Update: Check if there is a BIOS update available on the HP support website for your specific laptop model. Sometimes updating the BIOS can resolve hardware compatibility issues.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
