Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I think the last windows update broke the wireless. the software is installed but no wireless connection or adapter shows up in dialog. This is the error note:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Also,  I could not get the Intel-Driver-and-Support-Assistant to install. It just hangs midway.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try this...

Download and save the latest Intel wifi driver for the 7265 from the link below.  1st on at the top left side of the page.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29122/Windows-10-Wi-Fi-Drivers-for-Intel-Wireless-Adapters...

Go to the device manager.  Right click on the Intel 7265 wifi adapter.

Select Uninstall and check the uninstall driver box.

Restart the PC, and install the driver you downloaded.

Thank you! that worked. Earlier, I installed "WiFi_21.10.1_PROSet64_Win10.exe" but nothing changed. Your file was newer than what I found at Intel's site. The installer was different in the way it installed.
