hHello. I have the Realtek rtl8821ce 802.11ac pcie adapter installed on my notebook. I also have the 1GB internet from my ISP. I understand that the maximum throughput for my adapter is 433 mbps, in the 5 GHZ band. Is there any way I could obtain 866 mbps with my current adapter? Or would i need a new adapter for that ?What is your suggestion for me to fully benefit the 1GB speed internet from my ISP? BTW, my wireless router supports 866 mbps in the 5GHZ band. Thanks in advance!

Hi:
The 433 MBPS speed is a hardware limitation of the rtl8821ce 802.11ac wifi adapter.
That adapter was designed to work with only one antenna.
A wifi card with the specs you are looking for (866 MBPS), require two antenna cables.
So unless you are willing to buy the required second antenna (listed in the service manual), completely disassemble the notebook including the display panel area to properly route the second antenna, installing a better internal wifi card and still retaining bluetooth is not an option.
You could install a better wifi card as you are set up right now, but you will not have bluetooth and the wireless reception might be weaker.
Perhaps the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11ac 2 × 2 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter, HP Part # 793840-005, would fit the bill for your model.

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't know for 100% sure.
I have read posts from other forum members who have installed the 2 x 2 AC wifi cards on notebooks with one antenna and they indicated that it works fine, just no bluetooth.
For example: A person commented on this video that they installed the 7265 in the HP 250 G4 which also has only one antenna, and reported it works fine. Look under the 2nd comment listed...the one with 3 replies.
He didn't comment on the bluetooth not working but I am 100% certain that it won't.
If you want to try it, just make sure you connect the single antenna to the 'Main' terminal on the wifi card.
