Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂
Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.
I understand that you have an HP Notebook - 15-f271wm. I read that after updating you laptop, you can use an ethernet cable to access the internet. The wireless button us orange. I'll be glad to assist you with this.
The wireless light will either remain orange (when not connected) and white/blue (when connected) to the wifi network.
Let me know if you performed a Win10 update or did you updated to the Win10 operating system from an older version of Windows?
Meanwhile, you may try to reinstall the wireless card drivers by following the below steps:
- Open the device manager.
- Expand "Network adapters". Right click on the wireless card drivers in it and select uninstall. This laptop has a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bg/n 1x1 WiFi adapter.
- Close the device manager.
- Please download and install the wifi drivers via this Realtek website link: Home - REALTEK
- The laptop needs to be restarted after the drivers are installed.
I hope this helps. Let me know. Cheers! 🙂
