What is the model-number of your computer?
Is there a mechanical switch/button/slider to disable the WiFi ?
Or, an electronic method (FN-key-and-one-of-the-F1-to-F12-keys) to disable/enable the WiFi?
Within Control Panel, run the Troublehooter, to see if Windows can self-diagnose.

Hi
First of all do you have a WiFi card?
Yes obviously, but does it show in Device Manager?

If so, even if only when Hidden Devices are listed, then installing drivers etc is probably next.
This short script is to gather information on some parts of your system
OS, Networking Hardware and Software etc.
Copy and paste the section between the ~~~~ lines, and paste into NotePad.
Save as PN.bat somewhere easily accessible. Double click to Run
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
@ECHO OFF
systeminfo
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed"
PAUSE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Get Net adapter lines are perhaps the most important to list what is present, so if you could run the above and report on anything about the WiFi then we can move on.

> nothing works
From: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04782350
page 13 states: (4) Action keys -- Execute frequently used system functions.
Page 14 shows the function of each of the 12 keys. Most relevant is the "airplane" icon associated with 'F12'.
Turns the airplane mode and wireless feature on or off. NOTE:The airplane mode key is also referred to as the wireless button. |

> it says wireless capability is turn off .....
Use that 'F12' key to turn-on the wireless capability.
> I just change the wifi card adapter from my laptop ...
Your laptop has WiFi disabled.
> with my mom's HP laptop
Her laptop has WiFi enabled.
> because its the same and there it is working just fine.
> So isn't WiFi card failure.
Agreed.
> Any other solutions??
Yes.
Use that 'F12' key to turn-on the wireless capability.
You may need to hold-down the 'FN' key (near bottom-left of your keyboard) while you touch 'F12'.
Or, in Windows "Control Panel", run the "Troubleshooter", to see if Windows can diagnose your laptop's WiFi configuration.

> Troubleshooter says windows capability is turn off ...
Does it recommend any method on how to use an ON/OFF button for the WiFi adapter?
What happens on your parent's computer when you hold-down 'FN' and press 'F12'?
Does it turn off the WiFi?
Does a second usage of 'FN-plus-F12' turn-on the WiFi?
