ProBook 4530s
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

So My Wireless Network doesn't wanna switch On

So i've got HP Probook 4530s (notebook pc) with Win 10 Enterprise running on it. It's 64-bit.

It has Intel Core i5-2450M ; 2.50 GHz. So i thought maybe it has something to with drivers.

Here is a screen from my Device Manager:

I've Installed The drivers But the situation still Persist, it can't even set up a mobile hotspot.

I tried restarting my machine after the installation and i even checked into the BIOS and see if the wireless network adapter is enabled in the BIOS and yes it is enabled but the problem still persist.

please advise with any possible solution.

Hi, @Cybercadet

You need this driver for the 2 base system devices...

The JMicron Media Card Reader Driver enables the integrated media card slot in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp60501-61000/sp60769.exe

What shows up under the Network Adapters device manager category?

Your screenshot shows no missing wifi adapter driver, or you would be seeing a device labeled as a Network Controller, where you see the other devices that needed drivers.

@Cybercadet
Thanks for your return,

The situation did not change after trying the new version of HPCM at Connection Manager:
[HP Connection Manager download link removed, based on expert's comment @Paul_Tikkanen].

There were no changes by installing the new latest drivers of the un2430:

Hi, @Mans

The HP connection manager is not compatible with W10.  It only works for W7.

Hi, @Mans :

You are on the right track with the connection manager suggestion, but that will only work if you go back to W7, reinstall the connection manager, turn the wifi on, uninstall the connection manager, restart the PC, confirm the wifi is enabled and working and then upgrade back to W10.

However, there is an easier way to get the wifi to work on W10 when it was turned off during the upgrade...

Make a bootable Ubuntu installer from the link below.

https://ubuntu.com/download

Boot from the installer, and select the option to 'Try Ubuntu Without Installing.'

Turn on the wifi adapter in Ubuntu.

Shut down the PC, remove the Ubuntu installer.

Restart the PC, and when you are back into Windows, the wifi should be present and working.

Hi:

Your wifi adapter is present and the wifi should be working.

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to try this W10 Atheros wifi driver, and see if that resolves the problem.

This package contains the driver installation package for the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9000 Series wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71815.exe

Restart the PC after installing the driver.
