i have two laptops HP 4540s and HP2000.
in both the laptops all other hotkeys are working but only the brightness control key is not working.
i am using windows8 professional 64 bit.
i downloaded the driver from hp website for HP 2000:
but even after downloading the graphic and touch pad software/driver from the above website the brightness key is not working. Same problem in both the laptops.
Pls send me the link from where the driver is to be downloaded and the step by step process to finish it.
Looking forward to receive from u at the earliest.
Regards,

HI everybody! I encountered the same problem today but I've found the solution, or at least a solution that works for me: you just have to install the Hot Key Utility for Windows 8 32/64 BIT that you can find here http://www2.sagernotebook.com/pages/notebooks/download.cfm?ProductType=9150
Hope this helps!!!:catvery-happy:

Thanks Arthur. Your link no longer works, but installing the Hot Key Support driver solved my problem.
