I resolved that WMI issue, not the CAPS LOCK flashing, but something strange happens to laptop. Since I replaced BIOS I also got randomly shut downs without any BSOD or event registred. This thing happens at about 30 min of idle working. I managed to replace the thermal compound with Artic Silver 5 but I dont know if this is a heat problem or something related to some power issues. Searching about this problem I found out that there is LED Code for continously CAPS LOCK flashing and it says that -> "Insufficient power". I also want you to know that now I use a OCZ agility 4 SSD. What could it be?

Another thing: Which chip is located near BIOS, between HDD and CD rom in 8460p laptops with an Intel HD 3000? Is that the video? Because it get a little too hotter IMO.

I've managed to resolve the CAPS LOCK flashing problem with a restore to factory defaults and security in Bios. Disabled TPM and fingerprint reader, when prompted after restoring.  Now I will focus on those random shut downs.

Try removing the main battery and see if that helps.

I think it's a short circuit on the main board. It could help if someone does have a 8460p like mine to check out something. In case you know someone, I would like to know if the EAMF chip near bios chip has got 3 or 4 pins ?? I'm thinking that during soldering process 2 pins soldered togheter.  I could place a picture of the chip if that would help.

I can only find a few 8440p's.

Can you post a pic of the chip.

Thanks.

it's the only chip near BIOS, but I guess that's nothing to do with my issue. Searching today I found out that Intel ME can shut down system randomly and I tryed to install it but I can't. Can someone post a procedure to install it ?? Thank you
