HP Pavilion g6-1255er
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello!
I want to install a HP Pavilion g6-1255er SSD drive on my laptop, but in the BIOS settings there is no way to turn on AHCI. Is AHCI enabled by default?
Thanks for the help!

Hi:

Yes, AHCI is enabled by default and the drive controller setting cannot be changed in the BIOS.

You can see that AHCI is enabled by default by going to the device manager, click to expand the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers device manager category, there you will see the name of the Intel SATA AHCI Controller listed.
