AMD Radeon HD 8670M drivers needed

Hi.

I installed WIndows 7 x64 on HP Pavilion 17-e002sc. As it is prepared for Windows 8 x64, I had problems getting drivers, but now have all except one.

Graphic card AMD Radeon HD 8670M. I couldn't find other drivers than for Windows 8 x64.

Vendor ID: PCI\VEN_1020&DEV_6660&SUBSYS_1972103C&REV_00

Can anybody help?

Hi:

Unfortunately, no one will be able to help you.

There are no W7 x64 graphics drivers available for that model video card anywhere to be found.

No HP business notebooks come equipped with that video configuration which would be the only place they would exist.

My recommendation would be to seach other manufacturers business model notebooks (Dell, Lenovo) and see if any of them have any models with the Radeon 8670M graphics.

I didn't look there but I can tell you that you won't find any from HP.

The one from AMD probably won't work either.

You can try the Beta driver and see if that works.  Sometimes they don't have the gatekeepers the non-beta driver has,

My experiences with drivers for this graphic adapter are:

HP WIN8 x64 driver - doesn't work

AMD WIN7 x64 driver - doesn't work (installer told I don't have suitable graphic card)

DELL WIN7 x64 driver - doesn't work

LENOVO WIN7 x64 driver - doesn't work

AMD WIN7 x64 BETA driver - works!

Thank you for your advice, I wouldn't try BETA. Of course there is a chance of future BSODs with this driver, but still better than nothing.

Now I will be able to tell others who may want to install W7 that the AMD beta driver works.

What effect does that beta driver have on the switchable graphics?

Are you only able to use the AMD graphics adapter?

I opened context menu "switchable graphic options" which came with BETA driver installation.

It needed .NET Framework 4.0 to open it. After installing this, the GUI opened and listed currently running processes, so I think the process of switching graphics can work.

Since it is not my laptop (I was only "installer" 🙂 ), I would not be able to watch if it works. I will only receive info, if the BETA driver throws BSOD 🙂 (then we will know the driver is not fully functional). Time will tell more 😉

I have install Beta http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx drivers for HD 8670M on my HP with Win7, but i cant use my 8670M! in Device manager my HD 8670M have yellow exclamation mark and in Device status says: Device is stoped because its detected some problems.

Is there some other drivers for HD8xxxM on win7?!?!?!?!!?!?! Because i really dont like Win8 😉

it seems to be problem with intel graphic! 

first u need instal intel HD 4000 graphic drivers, and then AMD Radeon HD 8xxxM BETA drivers and that's the sollution!!!

I managed to download and instal Intel HD 4000 driver but i can't instal driver for Radeon Graphic... HD 8xxx any help pls ? I also have hp pavilion and windows 7 got other drivers except that and pci divice
