Hi,
In that case, check the following.
1. The halt code ( generated after 3 incorrect entries ) that you've posted is correct.
2. Shut down the notebook and unplug the AC Adapter. Hold down the Power button continuously for 30 seconds and then release it. Plug in the AC Adapter, start the notebook and try entering the code again.
3. Try entering the code via an external usb keyboard.

Have unpluged ac adaptor, held power button in for 31 secs and then released, reconnected ac adaptor, powerd on unit and tried entering code via wired usb keyboard.
Sadly same result of invalid password.

Hi, @Mpc28 :
I have noticed recently on many HP consumer notebooks that generate an 8 digit halt code preceeded by an 'i' will not produce a correct unlock code when the code is entered in this site.
The only suggestion I can offer under the circumstances would be to contact HP technical support for the country you live in, and see if they can assist you further.

Hi,
The only further suggestion I have would be to see if you can get a secondary menu to show at the password screen - some machines that produce a hexadecimal halt require a key to be held down in order to show this alternative menu, so it may be worth trying a few combinations.
