Tolek.
From the images I can find the chip is next to the memory.
When you buy the chip they send you a picture of the location.

Hello,
I am an HP certified technician in New Hampshire and I have a client who locked his BIOS and forgot the password on his 2560p; I have tried to remove the CMOS battery as well as the battery and adapter but I still cannot access the BIOS after waiting for the BIOS to 'discharge'; I am hoping I can provide information so that someone can help me access the BIOS: I need to get this unit ready for a new user and could use some help with this! Thanks so very much,
BusyTech

in 2560p, just like in 2570p, you have two options: contact HP support to have an unlock file generated, or replace the BIOS chip on the motherboard. I typically go with the second approach (though it does require some soldering skills).
