Hi,

I'd made that reply before knowing you had an Elitebook - consumer Models will generally produce a 'halt code' after 3 incorrect entries from which a password can be derived, unfortunately an Elitebook will not produce this.

By far your best option is to  Contact HP Business support regarding this.

You can stand by your statement all you want.  I have a created a system for creating a Master Key for these models, and they have been confirmed by their owners
