i Bought yesterday a HP elitebook 8440p from a bankrupt compagny

this laptop was already a few months in the backoffice because they did not know the bios password anymore

so how do i reset the bios password?

thank you,

the problem is there is also a mcafee endpoint encryption on it,

and the passwrord and username are gone

so i hope to find a solution for that first

Hi all,

hoping someone can help, desperately need a bios password for:

compaq 6735s

s/n {Private Information Removed}

p/n GW694AV

bios: 68GPP Ver. F.08, 15/12/2008

Tried all the usual stuff to clear but no joy.

I get no error codes on failed attemps just get 'system locked press the power button to restart the sytem'
