Vidya, I tried to download as advised but it stopped midway. Are there no alternative solutions?

3 Base System Devices (for media reader) show with yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager after installing Windows 8 on my dv7-1135nr. Installed sp59043.exe but SD card drive still not showing up in Windows Explorer. Any leads to a good driver? Thanks.

Problem solved. Microsoft's Action Center notified me of a download file (sp42446.exe) that worked.
