Can someone point me to the page where this file is located:  flash_Rev9_TI14_B8_Sign.exe  ?

I'm having a problem finding it.

It's listed elsewhere in this thread - ftp://ftp.usa.hp.com/ - it's the only zip file - yes there is a password sometimes - try this link - ftp://sphinx12:+MG9rp%5EF@ftp.usa.hp.com/Sphinx%201.0%20PD%20FW%20update_NVM4_TI14_B8.zip

Did the take the files back down again?    I'm no longer able to see them.  [EDIT] nevermind, I can see them again.

I ran a checksum tool on the files from hp ftp server, the original flash.exe file and the flash_Rev9_TI14_B8_Sign come out with different checksums, so there is a difference in the files. I downloaded the files from the ftp server before they went missing and downloaded the "new" files now that they are back on the ftp server, there is no changes in filename or checksum.

Hi Jee, which ones did you find were different?   It's not too clear in your post as you seem to first say that there is a difference and then say that there's no difference.  Thanks.

In one of the first posts/pages someone posted the sphinx fix on a google server, the firmware file there was called flash.exe, (the one i first flashed). Later someone posted the hp ftp link with the flash_Rev9_TI14_B8_Sign.exe file, that file differs from the flash.exe file.

There has been no changes in the flash_Rev9_TI14_B8_Sign.exe file on hp's ftp server since it first appeared, went away and then reappeared.

^ That answers my questions, thanks!

I'm currently on "flash.exe", and will try "flash_Rev9_TI14_B8_Sign.exe" as well.

I purchased the spectre yesterday and the checked the version number from the PDFwflash_X32_v01 file..it is already 0x0,0x0,0x14,0x0 , there was a loss of 2% over 10 hours, is the Sphinx fix already done here or should I do it ?

Yes, I've also noted some very low noised coilwhine when charger is in at 100%. Coilwhine can be annoying, but it's very common in laptops/gpus etc. and is not anything to worry about unless it bothers you. The coilwhine I hear when the charger is plugged in while at 100% is very minimal and doesn't annoy me, I've heard much worse in other computers even when not plugged in and just idleing.

@PennGrad Could you do me a favour and check the PD firmware in the thunderbolt 3 app? Does it have a firmware version or does it list as N/A?
