it's noise a whirling noise, coil noise or something.

I am not sure for what reason, but the details are not coming in the thunderbolt app, will I need to connect a device because I don't have one.

HP Recommended

@PennGrad after you start the thunderbolt software there will be a thunderbolt icon in the notification area, right click that and click «settings», then you click «details». That will show you your thunderbolt software versions and firmware versions.

Edit: no, you don't need to connect tb3 hw 🙂

Ps! There's a new bios available from HP's support page for this machine that doesn't show up in  "HP Support Assistant", F.20 Rev.A. There's no changelog but im downloading it now, hopefully this fixes the battery drain 🙂

F.20 Rev.A "Provides support for the pen holder on the system".... lol what?

HP Recommended

@jee82 I did that and that info is not there, that's why I thought I might need to connect. Do let us know if the BIOS update works, I am a little skeptical about the sphinx, even though my version is also already updated, I might need to run the fix.

I am still trying to find the pen holder

lol

did you find it?

You dont get that info when you click "details"?

About to install the bios now, found an interesting detail in the installer;

ENHANCEMENTS:
- Provides support for the pen holder on the system.

Does this mean we get pen support for this machine?? I thought it didn't have a digitizer??

HP Recommended

Just updated, right after it finished a brand spanking new and shiny pen popped out of one of the usb-c ports!! 😂

The newly announced Spectre x360 15" will have pen support...  I guess they're using a generic BIOS across the line?  Is that possible?
