Hi,
Try a Hard Reset as follows.
Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and see if the notebook will start.
If it still doesn't start, see if you can match the sequence of LED 'blinks' to those shown in the table below.

Hi,
You're welcome
If you have more than one Memory Module installed, try the following - ( if you only have 1 memory module, try it in the other available slot).
With reference to the link below, remove one of your memory modules and then see if the notebook will boot. If it doesn't, try the same module, but in the other slot. If is still doesn't boot, try the other memory module in both slots, to see if any combination will allow the notebook to start.
The procedure for removing these modules is detailed starting on Page 52 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.

hI,
Power down the notebook. Follow the procedure detailed on Page 54 of your Maintenance & Service Guide. to remove the RTC battery.
Hold down the power button for 30 seconds and then leave the notebook for 10 minutes.
Re-insert the RTC battery, replace the covers etc and see if there is any change when you try to start the notebook.

Hi,
Is there any difference in the start-up behaviour if you remove the battery and start the notebook with just the AC Adapter connected?
Also, it's worth checking if there is any change if you remove the WLAN card - Page 59 of your Maintenance & Service Guide - and start the notebook with this component removed.
Best regards,
DP-K

I removed the battery and took out the WLAN module and tried but there is no change at all. you can just heard the fan turned on then the activity on the hardrive next thing that comes up is the continuous blinking light of Caps lock/ Num lock.

Hi,
My best guess at this stage would be that there is a Hardware issue with the Power board - this would cause the symptoms you describe ( the blink code is never 100% ). The best advice I can give now would be to take the notebook to a local computer repair shop ( not a large chain store ) and at least get a confirmation of this diagnosis ( unfortunately it's quite possible the Motherboard has other issues ) and an estimate for the cost of repair. At least this way, you can decide whether the cost of repair is viable compared to the cost of a new notebook.
Best regards,
DP-K
