HP notebook 15.6

As soon as the laptop had booted up it comes up with an error message saying it will need to restart.

The messages have varied as follows

'Memory management'

'Page fault in non-paged area'

'IQRL not less or equal'

The comouter then restarts before I have time to do anything.

I think the operating system is Windows 10.

Hello @Bix85

Welcome to HP forums!

I have come across the issue you are facing with your HP 15 computer and here's a list of things that you can do to fix this.

First, try reloading the BIOS to default settings this link will help you with that.

This document is quite detailed and please try these steps to see if it helps. To be specific, please do the steps 4,5 and 8.

Do let me know if it helps!

Neo

Hello @Bix85,

Let me try my best to help you!

As per the issue you are not able to boot to the operating system,

when you try to power on the computer you get a blue screen with errors and it restarts.

can you provide the product name or the product number.

According to Microsoft, this error can be caused by faulty hardware (RAM, hard drive), anti-virus software,or bad drivers.

lets first start with checking for faulty hardware

  • Boot to F2 diagnostics. you can do that by powering on the computer and start tapping on F2 key.
  •  Once in the Diagnostic page select component test and run extensive RAM test and the HDD test.

If the test passes that means that there are no harware issues with the computer.

please let me know the result.

SKMG

So far we have run a system test and a memory test on the diagnostics. Both gave error code 'RW09VH-8AP8JQ-XD7X7F-40EL03 MM1 for the system test and the same code again for the memory test but with 'Bottom slot one' rather than memory module 1 at the end. The HDD test passed. What would you suggest next? Thanks for your help!

Hi @Bix85,

This error code is an indication for the memory module failure, so the memory needs to be replaced on the PC.

Do check and see if the PC is still under warranty so that you can get it repaired.

Hope this helps.

Neo
