Mine was that out too, had new hard drive installed and no problems since. Good Luck

Hard drive sorry to say, You can get disk on line or from manufacture. I called HP and they sent them to me free of charge. Good Luck!

The hard drive is working fine. The only issue is when starting the computer after shut down I have to hit F10 to get to BIOS and reset the bios and as soon as I do that it boots up immediately. It seems like maybe the BIOS is in the wrong boot order if that's possible.  Maybe time to take this thing into the pro's instead of trying to find the simple fix

I have a HP windows 8 SD card reader Laptop. But mine says No bootable device found as well
