this will restart the machine and you are good to go.
Now the HP TrueVision HD webcamera will be detected automatically.

Hi younggrandma40. What is the model number of your Pavilion D7? What program are you trying to use your webcam in?

Thanks for your reply TwoPointOh, I managedto fix the problem, first I unclipped the top then pushed in the little plug, which then showed up the web cam in my devices, I opened a website for specticals that allows you to use your image via webcam to virtualy try glasses on, but it wasn't working, then I tried opening Cyberlink Cam, it wouldn't open so I uninstalled and re-installed still didn't work, so I downloaded ManyCam, and it worked, then downloaded Skype and it worked too, went back to specticals site, still didn't work, so I realized its just their website, and cyberlink Cam program as works with everything else. So it was just my plug not pushed in enough. 🙂

Hi rimjam, I'd been trying for years to get mine to work, and I saw on here someone had showed how to clip of the edge up top, carefully and push the little plug in near the cam, (tiny little plug with wires) so I tried it and it worked, fixed mine.
