I installed KeyTweak, found the WWW button, selected it, set it to disabled, rebooted. And guess what.
No more problem.
Not sure about the person who said this did not work, possibly thye used a different program OR didn't disable the key OR did the WRONG key.
I honestly had no idea that this key existed. If I had it would have been the first thing I tried. I was thinking it was F1 or some other combination of functions keys and **bleep**.
And I actually ordered a new keyboard and replaced it. That's how far I went.
When these laptops (I have two) are EOL for me, which is the next year I'm sure, I am NEVER buying an HP product again. No way. Everything on this laptop is backwards. And support is lacking. We basically had to figure this out ourselves.

I did try a different program before. I also disabled my keyboard. I downloaded Tweak (have to clean up the crap that came with it) but I am hopeful that it worked! Thanks for all that have read this post and gave suggestions. will let you know if it is a for sure fix. A week of good and I will be happy.

I cant seem to find a copy of that software that doesnt come with a bunch of viruses. I had to restore to a previous point. I got tons of pop ups and it changed my home page. Installed 6 other programs on my pc.
