Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Tried all tips I could get to speed up my pc and nothing is working.  I want to reset to factory ASAP.  I think I got the laptop with Win 7 on it, but I have 8 on it now.  It is 3 years old.  Reset and recovery does not work.  It tells me "it can't process it and no changes were made."  I need a restore disk ASAP.  I can pay for it, but I really think it would be a nice gesture by hp to send me one complimentary.  I already backed up all my files to an external hard drive, so I am ready to wipe it out.  Please help.

Hi,

What is your exact product number, model name?

Order Recovery USB: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/bph07143

Contact HP directly for HP recovery USB: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

They'll charge since $60 or so.

Recovery partition will not work if you've upgraded to Windows 8.

You can alternatively try clean install of Windows 7 and install additional drivers from HP.

Regards

Visruth
