it's Windows XP Media Center 2005 (HP PAVILLION DV5000)
and on startup, it only appears LOG IN TO WINDOWS
the issue is that i deleted the username and password using the control panel when it was working fine and when I shut down the computer and tried to log in again, it has become impossible./
thanks let me know if that's the info you needed.

@aguirreiv
Try tapping away at the F8 key after powering on to attempt Safe Mode boot.You should be offered option of using System Restore, choose it and restore to a date before the problem.

If I had know that HP would be charging for tech support, I would not have purchased their product. Students be warn. Some school recommends their products. Their prizes are cheap and its easily to get what you want. BUT, you will not have the support from them as you would from DELL, APPLE. Reason is... This product isn't a year old and we didn't finish the set up. We turn computer on and went through steps to where you create your profile and password and stop. Daughter comes back to house and informs us that she will not be attending fall semester. Not even a 1 old yet I decided to finished the installation and up load their support as well as office 365. And other programs. Can't due to the fact the password doesn't work, I called and was given the statement / reason "you didn't purchase software support". Really .. How could I if I didn't finish the setup?? I have been on the phone for over 2 hours 15 minutes. I have talked to 9 different people and was transfer to the same depts. 4 times. Back and forth !!! All I asked was to reset to factory or help me reset password. I even have the whole conversations recorded. The warranty dept. person was rude and stated " you should have finished installation" and " remember your password" . "Due to you didn't, we can not help you unless you pay the fee for tech. Software Support" and technical software support is not under warranty. You have to purchase it. After that comment and my 17 hours work day. I decided to tell them thank you, and would not be asking for their support ever again. Customer service should never lie about the next person will be able to help you!! I will post the recorded conversations on my blog.
